Definitely The Coolest Jellyfish You’ve Seen in the Last Five Minutes

On a scale from 1 to awesome, this thing is really amazing. The halitrephes jellyfish is a deep sea hydrozoan found at crazy depths of 4,000 to 5,000 feet! (that’s something like 1225+ meters for you crazy metric people)

 

 

Some people say it looks like fireworks, but it reminds me of the First Ones from Babylon 5 and other crazy alien space ships. Anyway, I love videos like this where it’s left alone in its natural habitat where we can all see it now but doesn’t need to be put in an aquarium or killed to study it.
