We all know baby animals are super cute. But what about those animals you probably wouldn’t even consider thinking about at all, and much less in the context of cute. In alphabetical order, not order of cuteness.
Baby Aardvark
Always at the top of alphabetical lists, the aardvark as I’ve seen it in nature documentaries and at zoos, is a big lumbering beast scraping at the ground and termite mounds for food. Not this cute little guy though. He’s just here for the snuggles on your arm.
–
Baby Alligator
Could a giant ferocious beast produce any cuter babies? I guess this is why people think they are a good idea to get as pets and then evd up releasing them into the wild illegally. Make no mistake, this little thing will grow up to weigh around 800 lbs. and be 14 feet long. Not a good idea to keep as a pet.
–
Baby Chameleon
It’s so ridiculously tiny!
–
Freshly Hatched Baby Cobra
I never would have expected a snake to make any cute list ever. Despite maybe being a bit slimy, this little guy doesn’t look like he could hurt a fly.
–
Baby Gecko
What’s the plural of Gecko? Gecki, Geckos? Any how, here are a couple of the cutest Gecko you can find anywhere. The first being a Leopard Gecko and the second, that looks like a tiny translucent galaxy of stars, is a KnobTail Gecko.
–
Baby Giraffe
If it stayed this size everyone would want a tiny little baby giraffe for themselves. This little guy reminds me of a commercial a few years back with a fake CGI mini giraffe in it. Go look that up.
–
Baby Hippopotamus
A full grown hippo is the antithesis of cute as it’s a huge and deadly creature. But as a more manageable size like these baby hippos, they are actually super cute. And yes, I want a Hippopotamus for Christmas, only a Hippopotamus will do… You know the rest.
–
Baby Llama
Pretty much just a ball of fluff, baby llama are obviously super cute.
–
Tiny Baby Nudibranchs
So they have a funny name, but these cute little creatures look so cool! Nudibranchs are a group of soft-bodied, marine mollusks that lose their shells after their larval stage. They are noted for their often extraordinary colors and striking forms. Wow. And you should do a google image search for nudibrachs to see some of the 2,300 currently cataloged different species that are known!
–
Cute Baby Puffer Fish
Eaten as a potentially deadly delicacy in some parts of the world. I would’t be able to keep this cute little one out of the water without feeling horrible.
–
Skunk
Baby skunks are just cheating at being cute. The only reason we don’t regularly have them as pets is because of their stinky odor glands, but those can be removed by a veterinarian if you really want one of these fluff balls for yourself.
–
Baby Snail
What could be cuter than this tiny snail sitting of the tip of your finger? Just look at those tiny antennae.
